PMI STEEL Incoloy Alloy 825 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum, copper and titanium. This nickel steel alloy's chemical composition is designed to provide exceptional resistance to many corrosive environments, that is designed to last, even under extreme operating conditions. This powerful nickel alloy is considered the forerunner of alloys containing molybdenum, the inclusion of which lends the material additional strength. In particular, in the chemical processing industry, Incoloy 825 is similar to alloy 800 but has improved resistance to aqueous corrosion.

Nickel Alloy 825 / N0 8825 / Wr. 2.4858

Product Description

PMI Incoloy 825 Bar (Alloy 825 / N08825 / Wr. 2.4858, compliant with ASTM B 564 and SAE J 470c-1976 standards) is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy specifically designed for use in harsh and corrosive environments. The nickel content is sufficient to resist chloride ion stress corrosion cracking. Nickel, along with molybdenum and copper, provides resistance to reducing acids, including sulfuric and phosphoric acids, as well as seawater. Molybdenum also contributes to resistance against pitting and crevice corrosion, while the high chromium content enhances resistance to a range of oxidizing agents, such as nitric acid and nitrates. Proper heat treatment can stabilize the alloy with titanium, preventing intergranular corrosion sensitization. This product exhibits exceptional corrosion resistance and oxidation performance, with excellent mechanical properties that allow it to perform outstandingly under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions. It is suitable for various industries, including chemicals, marine applications, and energy sectors, such as phosphoric acid evaporators, pickling tank heaters, hooks and equipment, drive shafts, and tankers.
